Marlin is the founder and president of Black Gold Emergency Planners and has accumulated over sixteen years experience in oil & gas project management, consultation and emergency preparedness. Under his vision and direction Black Gold has grown into a prosperous organization. As president Marlin, is responsible for managing and directing all aspects of Black Gold's consulting service and defining Black Gold's current and future goals. Marlin has a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Calgary. |
Jason has been with Black Gold since the fall of 2006 and previously filled the role of Environmental, Safety & Regulatory Manager at Samson Canada Ltd. Jason is involved in the supervision of Black Gold employees, development of short and long term business goals; as well as assisting in the development of viable and effective emergency response plans for the oil and gas industry. He has a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Calgary and a Diploma in Chemical Engineering from Southern Alberta Institute of Technology. Jason has over 16 years of oil and gas industry and managerial experience. |

Chantale joined Black Gold in 2003 as the company's office manager. During her tenure as office manager she managed all facets of Black Gold's business including payroll, A/R, A/P and all HR related duties. Chantale's strong personality and aptitude quickly lead to her promotion to Senior Emergency Response Planner. Her duties include supervision of 4-5 administrative support staff, government agency (OGC, ERCB, NEB and SER) liaison and assisting in the development of Black Gold's Emergency Response Plans. Chantale has a Bachelor of Arts Degree and a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Saskatchewan. |
Tori joined Black Gold's team in 2004 as a Emergency Response Plan Writer. Since then her duties have expanded to include regulatory compliance, public consultation and liaising with government agencies (OGC, ERCB, NEB and SER). Tori has 9 years of experience in the Oil and Gas Industry. |

Larry has spent the past 4 years working directly with clients in the upstream oil & gas industry developing effective emergency response programs. Larry's duties include ERCBH2S modeling calculations which facilitate the development of emergency response plans for drilling, completions and site specific sour operations, as well as emergency response plan development, implementation of stakeholder consultation programs in accordance with ERCB, NEB, OGC and SER guidelines. Larry has a Petroleum Engineering Diploma from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology. |
Darcy joined Black Gold Emergency Planners in October 2006 as a Field Representative. Since that time, he has been working throughout Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia for numerous Black Gold clients. While in the field for Black Gold, Darcy consults with residents in compliance with the ERCB's Directive 071, he also as collects, interprets and prepares map data. Prior to Darcy's employment with Black Gold he was a Project Manager / Supervisor for well site construction and reclamation projects in central Alberta. Darcy obtained a Diploma in Land Reclamation from the Land & Water Resources Program at Olds College, AB |

Michael joined the Black Gold team as a Field Public Consultation Specialist focusing on the ERCB's Directive 56, 60, and 71 programs in 2006. Prior to joining Black Gold, he spent three years as the Training Coordinator for Bissett Resource Consultants. Over time his role with Black Gold progressed to Senior Training Coordinator as a result of his knowledge and expertise in ERP development. Michael now facilitates and coordinates pre-sour meetings, as well as new corporate, facility, and site specific ERP review meetings in the field and at corporate head offices. In addition, he manages discussion based tabletop ERP reviews and operational exercises in the field (ranging from small meetings to full scale deployments). Michael has eight years of oil and gas experience, is a member of the British Columbia Association of Emergency Managers, a Certified Business Continuity Manager (BCP), and is Incident Command System 400 level Certified. |
David has spent the past 5 years working with clients developing drilling, facility and corporate maps for emergency response programs. David's responsibilities are to ensure that mapping criteria are met under ERCB Directive 71 as well as the OGC and SER Guidelines. He is responsible for reviewing, coordinating and assigning upcoming projects within the GIS department. As the coordinator of the GIS department it is his responsibility to maintain and ensure the integrity of Black Gold's mapping data. David also assists with the training and implementation of the Emergency Messaging Application (EMA) for resident notifications. He has a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Calgary and a Marketing Diploma from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology. |

Keith has the spent the past seven years with Black Gold overseeing Black Gold Field Staff and Public Consultation Program. He has facilitated consultation program for critical sour wells and sour pipelines containing a large number of stakeholders. He has successfully addressed the concerns of landowners and residents in order to obtain licenses for wells, pipelines, and facilities. Keith has experience with consultation programs which involved special interest groups/societies; land agents and government agency representatives. His background in surveying and GPS ensures data accuracy during the ground truthing portion of the consultation programs. Keith has the ability to work under pressure and has the confidence to achieve the goals set by the client. He has spent the past thirteen years managing field related projects in the oil and gas industry. |
Chris has the spent the last four years as a Manager working directly with clients in the upstream and midstream oil and gas industry developing Emergency Response Plans (ERPs), Health and Safety Plans, Security Plans, Pandemic Plans, as well as Building and Infrastructure ERPs. Prior to joining the Black Gold team in 2010, Chris worked with Paramount Energy Planners as a Senior ERP professional. Chris also has over 28 years of operational and administrative experience in the Canadian Forces, including two United Nations tours as a Military Observer.
His duties include ERP program management, government agencies liaison, stakeholder and resident database management, ERP development and quality control.

| Eric joined Black Gold as a GIS Technician in May 2011. Eric's responsibilities include the creation of corporate, drilling, and facility maps for emergency response programs. Additionally, Eric must ensure that all maps created adhere to cartographic standards as well as industry guidelines. Eric manages Black Gold's innovative interactive web mapping tool that provides our clients access to critical information through a secure web page. He has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Calgary and he has taken the BGIS program at SAIT Polytechnic. |
Chelsea has been a part of the Black Gold team since November 2010. She is currently the Production Manager and Administrative Assistant. Her duties include administrative support and managing the printing department which generates all Emergency Response Plans and safety related documentation. One of Chelsea's key roles is product quality assurance to meet Black Gold's high standards. She currently has 7 years administrative/printing production experience. |

Amanda Gibson joined Black Gold Emergency Planners in February 2008 as a Production Assistant. Since then she has been responsible for the Black Gold Reception Desk and duties such as liaising with Alberta Health Services and County personnel. Amanda is currently a Junior Planner with administrative responsibilities. |
Tanya joined the Black Gold team in 2008. She began as the Production Technician and brought with her five years of experience in the printing industry. She has since moved into the position of office manager where her responsibilities include organizing payroll, A/R, A/P and all HR related duties. Tanya's additional duties include editing key documents and creating new documents in MS Word, Visio, Publisher and Excel. Tanya has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Linguistics. |
